If you have forgotten your medication, you should attend the community pharmacy nearest to you for advice. If you’re registered with a GP in the UK, they may be able to fax or email a prescription to the pharmacy.
If you cannot get a prescription faxed or emailed, you should contact your own Medical Practice and ask them to fax or email a copy of your current medication to the Practice that covers the area you are staying in. You should then contact the local Practice. You will need to provide your full name, date of birth, temporary and permanent contact details and your GP’s details, as well as details of the medication that you require (a repeat order slip is very helpful). We will match that with the information received from your own Practice.
Please be aware that you will not get a prescription immediately as the clinicians may be consulting and attending to other patients. You may have to either wait or return to pick it up.
